About the Event
Take the Tower is a rugged mountain adventure beginning in the heart of downtown Hot Springs, North Carolina. Starting in front of Pig Pillow Brewery, runners will cross the bridge over the French Broad River before winding up the beautiful trails of the Pisgah National Forest.
The course climbs steadily toward the iconic Rich Mountain Fire Tower. At the top, runners will be rewarded with sweeping mountain views before turning around and racing back to town.
Choose your challenge: complete the tower climb once, twice, three times, or four times within the 10-hour cutoff. Each “take” is approximately 10 miles with around 2,500 feet of elevation gain, making this event a true test of endurance, grit, and mountain spirit.
